Plan Your Jungle Adventure at Kanha National Park

If you’re looking for a thrilling jungle safari, Kanha National Park is a great place to visit. Safaris are available in different zones, and bookings can be done easily online.

The park has four main core zones—Kanha, Sarhi, Mukki, and Kisli. These zones are carefully protected to keep the forest and its animals safe. Along with them, there are four buffer zones—Khatia, Sijhora, Phen, and Khapa—where local life and nature go hand in hand.

All eight zones have separate gates and different safari timings. You can enjoy your safari in either a jeep (gypsy) or a canter, depending on your choice and group size.

Each zone gives you a different experience of the forest. So no matter which zone you visit, you’re sure to take home unforgettable memories from the wild.

Buffer Zones of Kanha National Park

The buffer zones in Kanha National Park act as a shield around the core areas. These zones help in protecting wildlife while also allowing limited human activity, making them ideal for responsible tourism. They offer peaceful safari experiences with fewer visitors and lots to explore:

Khatia Zone:
This is the most visited buffer zone due to its location near the park’s main gate. It’s known for easy access and frequent wildlife sightings.

Sijhora Zone:
A calm and green area, Sijhora is perfect for bird lovers and occasionally offers views of tigers or leopards in a relaxed setting.

Phen Zone:
A separate wildlife sanctuary, Phen is ideal for nature walks, eco-tourism, and watching deer and other herbivores in open landscapes.

Khapa Zone:
For those seeking something off the usual route, Khapa provides a quiet safari trail with a good chance to see a variety of forest animals.

Each buffer zone has its own charm, making your Kanha jungle experience even more diverse and enjoyable.
